The stand-alone self-tariffing meter
Tici-Solo is Psitek’s answer to the pressing demands of the ever-evolving supervised payphone market. As the need for more advanced supervised – as opposed to unsupervised – payphones grew in the developing countries, so did the urgency for a robust yet sophisticated solution. It was from this need that Tici-Solo was born – South Africa’s leading supervised call retail system via a fixed landline network.
Simply speaking, Tici-Solo is a stand-alone self-tariffing meter, which in effect converts any fixed telephone line into a supervised payphone – affording the Tici-Solo owner the capability to sell voice, fax, data and internet services wherever a fixed landline is available.
Customers have the choice of making their calls in either pre-paid or post-paid mode. Setting the call rates is made easy as billing tables can be programmed via the soft-touch keypad. Alternatively, Tici-Solo can be used in conjunction with a PC-based Central Management System (PMC), which automatically updates the Tici-Solo billing tables – as and when necessary.
