Ian Harrison
Founder and joint CEO
Ian studied electronic engineering at the University of Cape Town and received his B.SC Electrical Engineering in 1989. After working at AMS South (now Reutech Radar) for almost a year, he joined long time friend, Steven Chester, and together they started Psitek. Ian has had many different roles in Psitek over the years and is now mostly involved in strategy, new business development and marketing.
Steven Chester
Founder and joint CEO
Steven Chester is one of the two founders of Psitek and has held various roles within Psitek, mostly of a technical nature. He took over the role of Chief Technical Officer in November 2008. After finalising his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Cape Town in 1988, he worked at Angcontech (who later became Actaris) where he was involved in the development of the first meters catering for prepaid electricity in South Africa. He left Angcontech in late 1990 to start Psitek with his long time friend, Ian Harrison.
